Thailand 2010
In
February, 2010, Richard and Kathy had the privilege of traveling to
Thailand for two weeks to visit friends and churches and minister the
Lord Jesus there. They spent about half of their time in Bangkok and
half their time in two other cities, one in the northeast of the country
called Maha Sarakham and another southeast of Bangkok called Chonburi
which is located along the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. They visited
and spoke in several churches in each place. And the hospitality was
wonderful. Thailand is called the Land of Smiles. Despite the problems
that are there, it is indeed a humble nation where respect and kindness
are shown everywhere. The king is loved by the majority of Thai people.
Buddhism is the main religion there, and one can see its influence
everywhere, ranging from the government to the daily life of almost
everyone. But the Lord Jesus is working there, and many have given their
lives to Jesus and are living for Him. May God send His truth to every
soul there, that they may turn from that which is not true religion and
which does not truly satisfy, to the living Lord Jesus who can pour out
His streams of living water upon them!

Some photos of the country....
Thailand has many cities and towns and villages. There is amazing
splendor there, as well as deep poverty in many places. Here are a few
photos to give you a taste of the country.
Some photos of our friends and churches we visited....
What a joy to visit friends and make new ones there! It was great. And
as in every place in the world, there are many different kinds of
churches. Take a look at some Richard and Kathy visited.
A stop in South Korea to visit friends in a church
there....
On their way home, Richard and Kathy met two friends at the airport who
took them to their church in a city called Pyeongtaek. What a lovely
group of Christians were there. Richard had the privilege of preaching
there.
