Life in Mongolia 2013
2013 was another excellent year in many ways. We continued to enjoy adventures to places we had never seen before. The nature in Mongolia is so differnet and unique. Ulaanbaatar is the coldest capital in the world, getting down to -40 or -50 Celsius in the dead of winter. Until 2013, Torch Church had met in several different places in the city. Oyunbold,, one of the brothers in the church, had a vision to open an international coffee shop and have it also serve as the meeting place for Torch. So in 2013 the Full Cup became a reality. What a blessing from Oyunbold and others. Our church was growing - God was adding to us. Kathy and I helped design the shop. That too was an adventure :) We at Torch also went on several retreats to the countryside. So good to see God build His church among us.
At MIU, I was now director of LEI - Language Education Institute. When I started there working under Ricardo Chung, he did an excellent job. At the beginning of the school year 2012 he put me in charge as director. The teachers say I was the best director they ever had :) :) Maybe it was because I provided free coffee for them! The student number continued to grow from maybe 30 to over 200. Certainly it was God who blessed us. So you can see photos of events such as our Christmas gathering, our Culture Day and Graduation.
Here are three groups of photos of Our Mongolian Life, Mongolia International University, and Church Life.
