Life in Mongolia 2015

2015! During our 5 years in Mongolia, we lived in 3 different apartments. Each had there good points and not so good. When we moved to Mongolia our dear friends Gansukh and Oyungerel helped us in a great way, opening their home for us to stay in for several weeks and finding us an apartment. It was on Peace Avenue, the main road running through UB. We overlooked Papa Cafe, a Christian coffeehouse we loved to go to. Many students from MIU congregated there and many good brothers and sisters from many churches. After a while I was there so often, and because of my friendly manner saying hi to everyone, some spread the rumor I owned the coffee shop! On a good day it might take 30 minutes to drive through the length of Peace Avenue. On a bad day maybe 2 hours! The view of the center of the city was great. The noise at the intersection we lived on was much! After 2 years we moved to an area nearby called American Denj. Great place. A bit hard to get to. But so good for us. As rent went up, we moved in 2015 to another location on Peace Avenue kiddy corner from Papa Cafe. God always provided great places for us.

Torch began meeting at Papa Cafe in 2015. It was a great spot for us all and God continued to add to us. We used it for meetings until Kathy and I moved to the US in June of 2016.
