My Aunts and Uncles

On the left above is an old photo of my Uncle Bob and Aunt Helen when they married in 1959. Helen was my dad's sister. On the right above is an old photo of my dear Uncle Birney and Aunt Edna in 1949. Birney was my mom's brother.

Here on this page you will find many precious photos of them!

Uncle Bob and

Aunt Helen

My Uncle Bob Dimmett was one of two sons of Welborn and Lois Dimmett. He was born in Sterling, Illinois in 1927 and married my Aunt Helen Porowski in 1959 in Chicago. The first two photos are of his mom Lois. My Aunt Helen (Porowski) Dimmett, my dad's sister, was born in Chicago in 1926. She graduated from Northwestern in Chicago. She worked for Sears Roebuck in the Sears Tower in Chicago her whole life.

Uncle Birney

and Aunt Edna

My Uncle Birney Dibble, my Mom's brother, was born in India in 1925 while my grandparents were missionaries there. The first photo is from a passport document required there. He and Aunt Edna married in Springfield, Illinois in 1949. They were a true inspiration to me because of the lives they lead and their clean, wise words they always spoke. Uncle Birney became a surgeon in the Chicago and Eau Claire, Wisconson areas. For several years he was a medical surgeon in the Korean war, being stationed on the frontlines where he saw so much of the atrocities and agonies of war. Their two children are Eric and Barb. My Aunt Edna Dibble was born in Taylorville, Illinois in 1926. Her parents were Bernard and Zella Baird.
