Mongolia 2009 - City and Church Life
In June, 2009 Richard and Kathy Porowski visited friends, brothers and sisters and their churches in Mongolia. The links are new and developing. Mongolia has a Christian population of about 3%. But since 1990 when they became an independent republic free from the Soviet block, Christianity has been flourishing. There is a fresh wave of the Spirit moving there, especially among young people. It is wonderful to see. We had a tremendous time meeting people there. There was opportunity to preach in several of the churches and help out in various ways.

The Capital - Ulan Baatar.... The city is nestled in the mountains and hills in the north-central part of Mongolia. It can be amazingly clear in the summer, but very polluted in winter because of coal heating.
Some of the friends and churches we visited in Ulan Baatar and Darkhan.... The best part about any trip is visiting the people who live there. What a joy it was to see them and to be involved in some of the churches - 8 in all.
